About This Business

Conception Tile. was founded in 1976 by Randal E. Phillips of Lompoc, California. Initially, the company specialized in basic tile installations including bathroom showers, tubs, tile flooring, kitchen and bathroom counters, fireplaces, patios, and other associated applications. After several years, Conception Tile began to expand its workforce and also diversified its product base to incorporate new elements of the stone fabrication industry to their general practice. By the mid 1980’s, the company was developing a reputation as a premier contractor capable of serving customers with marble, glass block, tile, and several other stone products. By the early 1990’s, Conception Tile was no longer soliciting business from the local Lompoc valley alone. As this time, Randy was accepting jobs from as far north as San Luis Obispo and as far South as Santa Barbara.
